One of our favorite events of the year is this sweet, small show of local artisans at the Berkshire Botanical Gardens. The Holiday Marketplace has two events, actually. Friday, December 4th, there is a somewhat fancy cocktail party from 5-7PM. Dress up and have first pick of the wonderful wreaths and plant makings the Gardens has been putting together for this event all fall as well as first choice of the artisan work (like mine!!) that is on view and for sale. The rest of the weekend the event runs from 10AM - 5pm (closes at 4 on Sunday). The Holiday Marketplace is held in the visitors center, and is a wonderful opportunity to buy all those organic, holiday details for your decor. Keep it natural and local this year!! The originality and breathtaking wreaths, amaryllis, paper-whites, cyclamen and a variety of unusual holiday greenery are all potted up in wonderfully tasteful ways. Reasonably priced, perfect gifts. Also, the select group of artisans from the neighborhood will knock your socks off. My own porcelain giftware, serving pieces, and dinnerware, Aubry Spoons, JK Home, cutting boards among others. This year they are featuring a special artisanal food group. This is guilt free holiday shopping at its best!!
